(1) Mistnet Capture Release Yield: Avg. 1.5 Bird Hours over three days

(2) Approximately 70% of captured birds were Neotropical Migrants from No. America.
(3) 138 birds were captured, banded, and released.

(4) Approximately 150 bird species were observed and recorded.

  1. Field Conditions: Flooded Forest ( .2 - 1.1 M of standing water)/ fieldwork followed two hurricanes (Opal, Roxanne)

Larvae Noted: Frangipani Sphinx Moth Larva (Pseudosphinx tetrio)

Bat Species Netted and Released

One mistnet was used 17 July, 1996. Collecting began at 20:30 and ended at 21:30 along the forest - savannah edge. Two (2) species of insectivorous bats were collected in that one hour time.
