After 5 days camping in the trail road that leads to El Eden, our team in Cancun could finally reach the Reserve. The dirt road is severely damaged as well as the vegetation. The water washed away most of the soil and all that is left is dead leaves and rocks.
In some parts of the road the water reached 1.10 cm. Unfortunately the experiment that the Allen Doctors are carrying out have also suffered some harm.
In the next months, El Eden’s staff will be working to reconstruct devastation by Wilma.
