In August of 2002, an agreement of collaboration was signed between the Institute of Ecology of Xalapa and El Eden Ecological Reserve. This agreement includes the promotion of joint research projects and the use of facilities and activities of El Eden by scientists and students of INECOL and the use of the facilities of the Institute of Ecology by El Eden scientists.
